Attorney David J. Lemasa has dedicated the majority of his career to criminal law and has tried over a hundred cases successfully to jury verdict. He has represented clients at every stage of litigation. Attorney Lemasa regularly lectures at various legal seminars, providing trial and courtroom training to fellow lawyers.

After graduating from Northeastern University’s College of Criminal Justice in 1998, he went on to Suffolk Law in Boston, where he focused his studies primarily on criminal law and procedure. He also worked in the Boston office of the United States Attorney during his final year of law school and was a special prosecutor in the Plymouth County (Mass.) District Attorney’s Office.

After law school, Attorney Lemasa worked in various Boston-area law firms handling complex civil cases, including medical malpractice, construction/contract disputes, shareholder rights, premises and commercial liability, and personal injury matters. In 2007, Attorney Lemasa left private practice to work as an Assistant District Attorney in the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office (Hampshire and Franklin Counties), handling all types of misdemeanors and felonies. He was later an Assistant District Attorney in Hampden County, prosecuting crimes in Springfield, Massachusetts. While in that office, then ADA Lemasa was a member of the Special Victims Unit, prosecuting child sexual and physical abuse cases.

In 2013, Attorney Lemasa left public service to establish a solo practice in Springfield, Massachusetts focusing on criminal defense and civil litigation. In July, 2015, Attorney Lemasa joined The Woolf & Ross Law Firm, LLC as ”Of Counsel,” handling a broad range of criminal and civil matters in the Connecticut and Massachusetts courts.
